I am hoping that you find the information here helpful to your journey, whatever stage you might be at, as that is my goal….to help people along in their healing through understanding trauma and discovering or regaining a sense of possibility and joy in their lives. Please note, this blog is not a substitution for a clinical assessment or your own private therapy. Rather, it is a place where I aim to share information about what trauma really is, how it affects our daily lives and how we can move past the stuff that stops us from achieving what we want. My wish is to offer a sense of grounding, healing and hope amidst the trauma and the drama of our lives.

Who am I?
I am a Social Worker and a Trauma Therapist in private practice with over ten years of experience in trauma work. I am passionate about all things trauma, and have worked with people from all walks of life including refugees, children and the elderly both in community and private settings. I have also created and delivered “Trauma, EDs, The Body and You”, a group geared at understanding the link between trauma and eating disorders, which I facilitated at Sheena’s Place, a support centre in Toronto for people struggling with eating disorders.
